I am in love with the idea of a vintage wedding, so today I thought I would bring you a couple of vintage wedding cupcake ideas!
First we have an adorable birdcage cake with vintage dusty green and white cupcakes by Tracy James at Cotton and Crumbs.

This next cake is just stunning, a pretty little vintage pink rose cake! I love how with vintage you can incorporate a little DIY craft to it too! Vintageandcake.co.uk created this one.

Gilly is an experimental designer and baker. When I asked her about one of her most recent creations she explained that “I have only been decorating for about six months and so I don’t know what I can’t do, therefore I will experiment with anything”.
I totally respect the artistic license she takes to her cupcakes. It seems to me that this is a great motto to have when approaching a cupcake task.
As Gilly is developing so too are her colors and flavors. She recently created a madeira cupcake with peanut butter cream filling and covered in a plain chocolate ganache. Sounds different, but when she took them to work they were gone within minutes.
These amazing cakes that we have featured here are her flower cakes, the outside is all rice paper that she has sprayed with an airbrush. They are fantastic and would look amazing on a wedding cupcake tower!
You can follow Gilly’s creations on Flickr.

Some people think of some very creative ways to propose and pop the big question. I love this creative and fun way that Phil proposed to his fiance. Each time they eat a cupcake, I’m sure they remember this special day. Since they used cupcakes for the engagement, do you think they had cupcakes at their wedding?
