There is certainly a fashion trend occurring at the moment in the vintage department, so why should cupcakes miss out on any of the attention? The other day I stumbled across these beautifully decorated cupcakes from Vintage and Cake and just had to share them with you. They would be so sensational for a tea party, and wouldn’t Grandma just adore them!

Sarah at Abigail’s Bake Shop designed these beautiful “Thank You” cupcakes and reminded me to be thinking about ways to share my love of baking and showing appreciation. Teachers, nurses, doctors, friends, are just a few of the people you can say thanks with a thoughtful cupcake treat. I know my kids want to visit a local fire station, and wouldn’t it be fun to bake some cupcakes for the firefighters as a way of saying thanks. You don’t even have to bake an entire batch of cupcakes. One cupcake with a fun message of appreciation will be remembered.

Rebekah created these cupcakes for “ladies that volunteer their time locally, every week. Their job is sometimes a thankless one and I thought that someone should let them know they’re appreciated. The cupcakes were topped with a bit of butter cream, then a circle cut from homemade marshmallow fondant. The tiny roses also were fondant. All the piping was royal icing.”
What a wonderful way to say “thank you” to these ladies who volunteer each week.
