Going against the flow

by Sprinkles on June 30, 2010

Do you sometimes get a crazy idea to do something a bit odd?  If so you are not alone, I get that all time, especially when I should be doing something else.

This is exactly what happened to me last weekend.  I was supposed to be making salads for a get together we were attending that afternoon, but as is often the case they just failed to capture my imagination.  I had done my best however with the little I had to work with, my ‘Stop, Go’ salad (all things red and green), a spicy pasta salad (but I think I got a bit excited with the chili!) and a boring but ever popular Greek salad.  So mid way through, with a kitchen littered with salad things, I embarked, as I do, on a cupcake mission!

To understand the thought process, you must understand that I had noticed the choc chips lurking in the pantry earlier that morning, and when I put something away from the dishwasher into the cupboard which contains the ice cube trays, all the lights flashed in my brain and I was off and melting chocolate.

The outcome was fish, all swimming to the right (because it is the ‘right’ way to go) except for one created by my daughter, but hey and I’m happy that she swims her own way!
