The Oscar awards are tomorrow night and I will be making cupcakes for the Academy Award nominees. If you are having a party at your house or even just one friend, bake some cupcakes and decorate them for the Oscars. While you are watching the celebs walk the red carpet, you can bake up your favorite cupcake recipe and have a decorating competition with your friends.
Some Oscar night cupcake ideas:
1. You can print pictures of your favorite actors and then cut them out for cupcake toppers.
2. Create a mini Oscar out of fondant.
3. Decorate cupcakes using themes from your favorite Oscar nominated film. Airplanes for Up in the air or footballs for The blind side.
4. Get your kids involved in baking and use bright colored fruit roll ups. Create the red carpet from strawberry fruit roll ups. Decorate cupcakes using themes from the movie Up. Bright balloons can be made out of fondant or frosting.
