The most creative & 'charming' use of cupcakes I've seen: went to a bridal shower given by a hostess who does absolutely EVERYTHING with grace & thoughtfulness ... dessert was delicious, gorgeous cupcakes. Coming out of the center of each cupcake was a baby-ribbon streamer, attached to which was a silver charm! There were eight charms in all, each with a special significance. The hostess explained what the charms meant & gave the bride-to-be a charm bracelet containing one of each charm. Everyone at all the tables was delighted & we all had fun comparing our charms. As if that weren't enough, about a week before the wedding, each guest received a package at her home containing a silver chain from which to wear her charm. Nearly all of us wore our new keepsakes to the wedding.

For my daughter's 1-year old pictures, I wanted to capture her very first moment with a cupcake. We sat her down with a lovely little vanilla cupcake with pink frosting and a pink flower and waited to see what she would do. She picked it up curiously and looked at it, but didn't make any moves to put it in her mouth. We took a few cute pictures and waited for quite some time. Finally the photographer surprised us all by smooshing it into her face just a bit. She looked utterly surprised and horrifed to be dirty and then a grin broke out across her face as she got her first taste of the delicious sugary frosting. After that, she refused to part with the cupcake until it was all gone. The pictures are priceless!

My favorite memory of cupcakes is watching my 3 year old not being able to stay away from touching the cupcakes sitting on the table as I'm getting ready for a party. The look he gives as if its just too tempting. And then remembering that same feeling when I was a kid.

My favorite cupcake experience was my daughter's first birthday. We made red velvet cupcakes and wore about 80% of the cake! Until she started eating that too! It was her first cupcake, and cake of any kind! She loved the fact she could hold it herself!

Last September when my daughter told me she was getting married. and we started planning for the wedding she told me she wanted cupcakes instead of a traditional wedding cake. I was very unhappy about her choice and tried to talk her out of it time and time again. But it was HER wedding so she got to have the cupcakes. Her wedding was last Friday Sept. 11, boy, was I wrong, the cupcakes were wonderful. It was a beautiful dispay, and they were a huge hit.
There were a variety of flavors and most important my sister did it all as a wedding present to her niece it did cost me a dime.

The best moment I remeber with cupcakes was the day I was having a baby shower for a friend, and I did not tell her what the cake was going to be like, we I brought the cupcakes out she sure was suprise to see them, she loved them so much she criyd because she was not expecting that. They where yellow and had blue booties on the top with blue chelfs on the edges, and where yellow cake and had a craem chess filling in the insid, all of my guesst loved them, and it sure made me feel really good that I was able to bring a smill to someone with a really small thing like a cupe cake
