Ahhhh Mario.. I remember when I was just 8 or 9 and I got my very own Nitendo Gameboy for Christmas, it was such a special day! It was the original monochrome brick and I loved it! I only ever had four games, Tetris, Dr Mario (like Tetris but with dropping different grey shaded capsules) and Super Mario Land. When I got the last one I played it for an entire day and within the week completed it.
Those glory years were 24-25 years ago, and just recently Nitendo celebrated the games 25th birthday with special releases. I cannot believe it has been so popular, especially as the main character is a middle aged, fairly average looking short man! But hey I personally quite like Yoshi when I take on the kids in Super Mario Cart, though it doesn’t seem to matter given they can beat me using any of the character options!
So today I thought I would share a few of the best Mario cupcakes around. I have been noticing them more and more recently and so I guess a lot of people are considering these as options for birthday parties, and why not!
Picture number one above is from Debbie Does Cakes. These are brilliant mini cupcakes. Check out Mario, he is amazing!!
The next little one on the right (above) is just brilliant, I wish I had a bigger picture. It is from Jemma at Sugar Sugar.
Then above on the left here we have a set of 16 cupcakes all frosted in light blue then put together just as I remember the game! I love these cupcakes by Hello Naomi as they give me a warm fuzzy feeling! Those were the days.. hehe!
Finally I had to include these two gorgeous cupcakes from the Blog, A Baked Creation. They are sensational, look at the details on the faces and hat. Luigi looks so dapper.. hehe!
