I’ve received emails asking about making cupcake stands for parties or large events like weddings. Large stands can be difficult to make if you don’t have a wood shop or have the time and resources to make one. If you are baking cupcakes for a large wedding, engagement party, or special event, you’ll want to a nice display. A cupcake stand can be the centerpiece for your decorations and also highlight your baking talents. A cupcake stand can be customized to your theme with wrapping paper and ribbon around the edges. Adding black and white silk ribbon can add elegance to your wedding cupcake stand. Pink, blues, and yellow ribbon would be great choices for a cute baby shower cupcake tower.
I was fortunate enough to be contacted by Susan at Green Party Goods last week. Susan is allowing me to giveaway one large cupcake stand that holds 125 cupcakes. The square cupcake stand has 5 tiers and stands 20″ tall. The cupcake stand is not only lightweight and made from durable cardboard, but you can also reuse it. The stand folds down and stores easily. Chicagoans are in for a sweet treat that just doesn’t come along all the time: a cupcake eating contest. According to ChicagoNow.com, Bleeding Heart is an organic bakery that is opening their third and largest location at Lincoln and Southport Avenues. At this very location, they’ll have a community café. So to celebrate the Grand Opening, they’re holding this fun and unique cupcake eating contest you just won’t want to miss!
The cupcake eating contest is open for both children and adults. It starts at 2 p.m. on Saturday. It is timed, so enjoy those sweet treats – quickly! Prizes for “most creative eater” from the delicious gourmet burger place Kuma’s Corner and also the tattoo shops, The Alley and Taylor Street Tattoo.
The Bleeding Heart Bakery is home to lots of yummy cupcakes, including “Plain Jane chocolate raspberry” vegan cupcakes, “Fancy Schmancy ginger mint mojito” cupcakes and other sweet and unique treats. The bakery offers gluten-free, soy-free and other types of treats that are sure to please distinctive palates or those with allergies or other needs.

Cricut Cake and Cupcake Machine
I am so excited about the new Cricut cake and cupcake machine that is coming out, that I knew I had to hold a giveaway for all my cupcake friends. I can’t wait to try out new ways to decorate with fondant and create some unique and fun designs for my cupcakes. I’ve already made space next to my coffee machine for my new Cricut and can’t wait to start decorating with it.
