I love wedding cupcakes, always stylish and beautiful, so today I thought I would show you a couple of my LATEST favorites.  These are all from a super talented cake decorator Sam Dobbin.  The first here is my absolute fave and is his latest creation.  These would be wonderful for any wedding, including a vintage inspired wedding!

Next up, I loved this bold idea.  The wedding was fairy themed so instead of topping the cupcakes with your standard flower colors Sam chose this gorgeous shade of green!

Firstly an apology for the lack of messages over the past two days , some computer issue took me out of action completely, but I am back, and today I thought I would feature Cupcakes n Candy who have an absolutely amazing gallery of cupcake ideas on Flickr.

Below is one of Cupcakes n Candy’s gorgeous flower cupcakes, but this is not the only one, there are loads of flower ideas, from stems and flowers, to flower clusters and red roses, perfect for valentines day or for a special event, such as a wedding or birthday.

But my favorite of the moment in her gallery is this totally cute little love bug cupcake.  First she cut out fondant hearts and then I image piped the little rose details on each one.  To finish it off she added the little ladybug in the center.  Very cute!

If you happen to be heading to Toronto, or live in the area then you will need to know where you can buy the most ‘beautiful’ cupcakes in town and if you don’t fit into either category, then these cupcakes are great for inspiration!  Toronto Life recently relaunched its ‘Food Porn’ column and one of the first subjects was cupcakes!

The task was set for many of the cities bakeries to come up with the best cupcakes they could, cupcakes that represented ‘beauty’.  The cupcakes below were selected and come from the vendors (in order left to right, from the top) SweetThings, OMG Baked Goodness, Wicked Little Cake Company, She Takes the Cake, Whole Foods, SweetThings, Eini & Co, The Cupcakery and LPK Cullinary Groove.

Your christmas cupcakes do not need to be a cliche, so instead of thinking only of Santa, Reindeers and Snowmen why not think also about other Christmas themes which may be a little more obscure than the more obvious Christmas ideas.

Diane who writes her blog called ‘Created by Diane’ did just that creating Hydrangea Cupcakes and then giving them a bit of a Christmas make over!  The result is pretty stunning.

There are instructions on her website and the original inspiration, which strangely enough she was inspired by the idea and then was surprised at how closely her creation resembled the original!  Check it out.

Pansy cupcakes by Pastel Heart

Totally adore these gorgeous little pansy cupcakes that I found while cruising Flickr the other day.  They are made by the fantastically talented Pastel Heart for a friend’s pampered chef party.

These make a great option for any spring or autumn party.  Simply create your cupcakes, what ever flavor you desire, in green cupcake wrappers, top with a white frosting and if you have them, add them into the fence cupcake wrappers.

To create the flowers, you can try cutting pieces individually by making a pattern, or use stickers, and apply them to the top of a toothpick.  Remember the stickers will need to be the same size as each other as you will need one for the front and the back.  Finish off the flowers with a small piece of ribbon knotted around the toothpick.

Vampires are definitely in, but if you want to class up your creation a bit more than having fangs on a cupcake then these black roses could be for you!  Instructions on how to bake these cupcakes and how to create the gumpaste rose is supplied by the British Guardian Newspaper where you can have a go at making these yourself.

Of course the art of creating perfect gumpaste roses is not limited to black and dark or emo cupcakes, you can of course change the color.  Did you know that the color of your roses shares a message:

• White – Purity – New Beginnings, weddings and remembrance
• Yellow – Friendship
• Orange – Energy, desire and enthusiasm
• Pink – Appreciation, thank you
• Lavender – Enchantment, love at first sight
• Red – Love and Passion
• Black – Death, farewell (hence the vampire connection)

So why not take a peak and get practicing this weekend on your rose creation skills!

Wow, these cupcakes are amazingly bright and beautiful.  the photo was taken by John aka Puzzler4879 in early August this year at one of his local bakeries.  He labelled the photo “Now That’s My Idea of Flowers” and he is not wrong, they are simply fantastic!

The flowers are from the Buttercooky Bakery on Long Island.

Gilly is an experimental designer and baker.  When I asked her about one of her most recent creations she explained that “I have only been decorating for about six months and so I don’t know what I can’t do, therefore I will experiment with anything”.

I totally respect the artistic license she takes to her cupcakes.  It seems to me that this is a great motto to have when approaching a cupcake task.

As Gilly is developing so too are her colors and flavors.  She recently created a madeira cupcake with peanut butter cream filling and covered in a plain chocolate ganache. Sounds different, but when she took them to work they were gone within minutes.

These amazing cakes that we have featured here are her flower cakes, the outside is all rice paper that she has sprayed with an airbrush.  They are fantastic and would look amazing on a wedding cupcake tower!

Using chalk board paint, Janel create a customized flower pot to hold her chocolate flower cupcakes. You can get creative and customize your message and add a colorful ribbon.
