By ‘new’ I mean new to their teenage years, as opposed to a brand new cupcake idea! This idea though is pretty fantastic and would suit any tweenage girl or early teenage girl.
Dolphin cupcakes or other such animal are perfect. They present the middle ground between cute, cuddly animal that they used to love when they were little and the more grown up ideas. Why does the dolphin fit into this category?
Well any animal that is endangered or persecuted in any way is likely to be known and in many cases adored by this age group. They are old enough to understand the issues and young enough to not be jaded.
I love this age group, it is the age of hope, change and growth, and I adore these cupcakes from Cakes Mary Makes. The concept should be obvious, create ripply waves to enhance the theme, but I hadn’t really thought about it. I admit, I did make dolphin cupcakes once, but they were on plain blue cupcakes and didn’t look half as good as these!

Firstly an apology for the lack of messages over the past two days , some computer issue took me out of action completely, but I am back, and today I thought I would feature Cupcakes n Candy who have an absolutely amazing gallery of cupcake ideas on Flickr.
Below is one of Cupcakes n Candy’s gorgeous flower cupcakes, but this is not the only one, there are loads of flower ideas, from stems and flowers, to flower clusters and red roses, perfect for valentines day or for a special event, such as a wedding or birthday.

But my favorite of the moment in her gallery is this totally cute little love bug cupcake. First she cut out fondant hearts and then I image piped the little rose details on each one. To finish it off she added the little ladybug in the center. Very cute!

For little kids, one of the most important factors with a birthday cake is for it to be bright and colorful! Something really engaging for their little eyes, and all their friends will love the bright colors too. So what to do? how to mix many different colors into one design?
With cupcakes of course! this cupcake creation shows a bright colorful scene that would be at home in a story book. But it is perfect created in cupcakes!
This one was created by Anajwood, but you could create any outdoor scene or indoor one, create a fish tank of colorful fish, or a cupcake house with round windows! To create the backing, it is best to use a piece of thick polystyrene, then you can either cover with paper that you have painted or calico that has been printed. Use toothpicks to hold your cupcakes in place and presto!
