These barn animal cupcakes include sheep, chicks, pigs, and cows from It’s Holly. I think the little chicks are my favorite.
Here are the decorating details from Aja on her fabulous barn animal cupcakes:
Pigs – two shades of pink frosting, cut bubble gum triangles for ears (I used trident multi layered trident b/c it had two shades of pink which was interesting looking), vanilla wafer as base for snout, and mini m&ms for eyes (light pink covers the wafer)
Cows – white and black frosting, pink frosting for nose/mouth, toothpick dipped in water to separate the mouth in half and created nostrils, and mini m&m’s for eyes
Chicks – two shades yellow frosting, orange slices cut in small shapes to make feet and nose, mini m&m’s for eyes, and a wet toothpick to string the frosting out away from the center for a feathery look on wings and head
Chickens (not pictured, very similar to chicks) – white and red frosting, vanilla wafer for head (covered white), mim m&m’s for eyes, and an extra build up of white frosting for two wings on the side and a red wiggle on top for “head hair”
Horses – white and brown frosting, vanilla wafer for nose (covered brown), white triangle strip of white frosting down the center for color, mini m&ms for eyes, tipped frosting for the ears so they pointed up.
Sheep – white frosting mini marshmallow halves and mini m&ms for eyes, toothpick to create lines on mouth, extra build up of frosting for the ears.
Horses were hardest to make, pigs were the most fun, and sheep were the most popular

I’m glad you liked my cupcakes. I made 75 of them and they were a big hit. I added chickens in at the last minute. Pretty easy to do. If you want to know what I did let me know and I can send you the details. The photographer Holly helps make them look good.
They look so cute, I really like your Chick Cupcakes!
I’d love to know how you made them. I have a couple of great Cupcake recipes too which i’m sure you’d love too!
