We brought you our 25 of the Best Boy Baby Shower Cupcakes at the beginning of July, so we thought it only fair that we even the score, before the month is out and bring you 25 Beautiful Girl Baby Shower Cupcakes. They are a great bunch and I am so excited to share them with you, and like the boy ones there are some in here that would be great for a naming ceremony or a first / second birthday too. There are even a couple like our circus one which would work perfectly for a boy or a girl depending on the colors that you choose.
1. A big baby girl
What better way to start our list but with a giant baby girl chocolate cupcake filled with delicious chocolate buttercream and covered in chocolate ganache and pink fondant? This cake was baked by Clever Cupcakes of Montreal but we found it on the Cupcake Takes the Cake blog.
2. Little pink birds and flowers
What more would any little girl want? These cupcakes featuring a pale pink fondant and little pink birdies and flowers were for a 1st birthday made by the Cupcake Company in Australia, but could easily be adapted for a baby shower!
3. Expecting mommy cupcake tower
The Pink Cake Box makes some of the best cupcake towers around, including this gorgeous tower, which alternates chocolate and vanilla cupcakes all topped with super pink frosting. The tower is completed with a cake topper on which the expecting mommy sits waiting for her pink bundle to arrive.
4. When red velvet can be pink
Well hot pink of course! With a swirl of brown sugar cream cheese frosting on top and a pink heart to top it all off! Aimee from Under the High Chair adapted Joy the Baker’s Buttermilk Red Velvet recipe and just reduced the amount of red coloring. I think they are gorgeous! See photo above.
5. What about adorable little cows?
These have got to be the most adorable cakes, and with the heart black patch on her tummy, flower in her ear and the blue butterfly, I certainly can’t resist their allure. I think this is one of the most fantastic cupcakes I have ever seen and would make an amazing baby shower for a little girl. Bella Cupcakes always does amazing things!
6. From cows to pink dinosaurs!
My goodness, people are so amazingly talented, and so is Inspired by Cake. I am almost speechless lucky for you I can still type! This is an amazing fondant teddy dinosaur sitting atop a white fondant covered cupcake. Teamed with other flower covered cupcakes it would look brilliant on top of a baby girl cupcake tower.
The boy version too is soooo adorable!
7. All things pink, yellow and girly
As you would expect the Cupcake Blog has a stack of cute girly cupcake ideas, but these were some of my favorite. They come from Lily Cupcake and have a swirly pink or yellow frosting then are topped with fondant teddy bears, a girly shoe, little duckies, a heart or blocks.
8. Looking for something other than pink?
E Cupcake has a great idea on their blog. They made Apricot cupcakes with white chocolate pistachio ganache and apricot buttercream. Light and beautifully girly without being pink. She topped each of the cupcakes off with a wire butterfly in colors of orange, blue and green. Simply gorgeous.
9. Happy baby bath cupcakes
I am not sure they are supposed in the bath, but it is what they resemble to me
These cupcakes from 52 Cupcakes are decorated with little wooden baby heads that the Cupcake Queen found in Michael’s. They even have little wisps of hair on their little heads, too cute! She finished the cupcakes with pink lemonade frosting and then added the little baby heads with little hands and feet sticking out.
10. A cupcake bouquet of flowers
At the Cake Journal, they made a series of fantastic decorated cupcakes for a girl’s birthday. Each cupcake is different, iced in colors of lime green, hot pink, pale blue or lavender, then decorated with gum paste flowers of all different shapes and sizes. They really are adorable and look like a posy of wild flowers!
11. Girl tables
Over at Eat Cake Be Merry, they have three different desert tables featured, which were in the April issue of Brides Magazine. The reason I’ve included them in this list is because they just look so girly and beautiful! They would be perfect for a baby girl shower. The first image is either cupcake or cookie, either way a white fondant cover with a pretty icing design would be perfect and easy to achieve at home. I also love the third one with pastel zig zags!
12. Beautiful frangipani cupcakes
Another idea is to buy one beautiful flower icing mould and make your own series of beautiful simple cupcakes like these ones from 4 Goodness Cake. They are white fondant with yellow coloring on the inside. Each is sat upon a generous mountain of lovely pink frosting. Simple often equals stunning.
13. Duck cupcakes perfect for a girl or boy
These cupcakes are designed for either a boy or girl, however are easy to adapt if you know you need a girl design. I love the simplicity of the colorful fondant discs that Sweet Things have used. This would make the cupcakes easier to make with some circle cutters, rather than have to make little ducks for every cupcake.
14. Nursery Rhyme Baby Shower Cakes
Again these would be fantastic for both a boy or a girl, but as we haven’t featured them before I couldn’t pass up the opportunity now. The cupcakes on A Baked Creation include designs for Pat-A-Cake, Hickory Dickory Dock, Humpty Dumpty, Jack Be Nimble, Little Bo Peep, Three Blind Mice, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, This Little Piggy, Hey Diddle Diddle, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Old Mother Goose and Good Night Sleep Tight.
Of course you could just make several of one, like the Little Bo Peep for a girl, or mix it up, create Little Bo Peep on one and a sheep or daisy on each of the others.
15. Use a cute little cupcake topper
Over at Bake and Destroy they recently made some fantastic lime cupcakes for a baby shower. The cupcakes are each topped with lime vanilla buttercream then rolled around the rim in colored pink sugar. They look fantastic, especially when it is all completed with a little cardboard cupcake topper!
16. Spring flowers and a baby elephant
Are you curious? There are actually two different cupcake towers here at Blue Cupcake by Julie. The first is a spring assortment that looks gorgeous in yellows, blues, white and a hot pink, and the second is a true baby shower cupcake tower. A little purple elephant sits on top of the big cake topper holding a little pink butterfly, the rest of the cupcakes are frosted with white icing then decorated with little or large pink butterflies and yellow flowers.
If you think your little girl may turn out to be just like her mommy and develop a love of baking cupcakes then these adorable cakes may be for you. They are gorgeous little Betsy Baker Cupcakes! Love the little pink bow. The cakes are by Hello Naomi and are featured on A Cupcake Blog.
18. Daisy and butterfly cupcakes
At Sweetopia they have the most gorgeous girly cupcakes, and these are no exception. Although they were made for a wedding they would be perfect for a girls baby shower. The vanilla cupcakes are topped with pink tinted vanilla buttercream and the chocolate cupcakes with chocolate buttercream. They are then topped with either a white daisy with pink centre or a pink butterfly.
19. Pink, pink, pink and more pink cupcakes!
There are a number of different pink or variations on pink frosted and sugared cupcakes here that would be easy to make at home. Sweet Treats from Oz have everything from silver balls, to yellow booties and spots in her collection of girl baby shower cupcakes.
20. Green and pink cupcakes for a spring girl
Hello Cupcake Nky have a range of gorgeous cupcakes for girls on their website, from simple frosted beauties to green sugared cupcakes, and ladybugs and flowers. Jessica has done a great job on these, especially as her aim was to match the little baby’s nursery.
21. Assorted baby girl baby shower cupcakes
If you are looking for a brighter baby shower for a girl, then perhaps these bright cupcakes will suit your needs. At Clair Gevaux they made these fantastic royal blue, apple green, dark pink and bright orange cupcakes with white baby stencils on top.
22. Key lime cupcakes
These cupcakes from Jamie of all Trades are not only very scrummy to eat, but are beautiful to look at too. They are key lime cupcake with a light green frosting and topped with a fondant pink flower and a little green leaf. You could alternate these with another style of cake, as well to add variety like one that had the word baby written on it.
23. Rocking Horse baby shower cupcake
If you cannot find anything else to decorate your cupcake with, try looking in the craft or baking stores for little cupcake toppers such as this plastic rocking horse. As Easy Cupcakes indicate on their blog, sometimes a simple topper is all it takes to make a perfect cupcake.
24. Lets go to the circus!
Coco Cake Cupcakes have a fantastic idea for simple and fun cupcakes for a baby shower. The lion cupcakes are a white fondant disc with red piped frosting mane and purple ears, and the clowns have a little pink triangle hat with some small red frosted hair. Of course you could always make it girly by going with pink frosting rather than the red. Too cute! Make the faces using an icing pen.
25. Baby faced cupcakes
There is no way we could put this feature together without one little cute girly baby faced cupcake. Thankfully Cake-A-Licious came to my rescue with these adorable baby faces that I featured at the top of my post. Love the baby pinks and the butterflies.
