I stumbled across a new really cool cake blog the other day and I had to add it to my favorites. So today I went back and slowly cruised the posts, but when I saw this I thought it was sooo adorable.
Who doesn’t love Hello Kitty? Well have you thought of having Hello Kitty on your wedding cake? I think they look so cute there about to kiss on top of a super pink power cupcake! Love it!
So the photo is from the blog of MnD Cakes who are based in Malaysia, though thankfully for me the site is in English so I can cruise regularly now and don’t worry I will be featuring more of their cakes very shortly!

In a few weeks Halloween will be here. That spooky and fun holiday that children and adults look forward to. And if you love cupcakes, this creative holiday is easily one you’ll look forward to with great anticipation. Because anyone knows that just about anything goes on Halloween! So let’s talk a bit about Halloween cupcakes!
Halloween cupcakes are perfect for children and adults. We’ll let you in on a little secret: you can often make your “adult” cupcakes just as cute and silly as your children Halloween themed cupcakes because of this day – no one will raise a frosting covered eyebrow at you. Halloween is the perfect day to be silly, spooky and even a little goofy. So it’s okay to make those great alien cupcakes for your co-workers from Hello Cupcake! You’ve had your eye on all year. They won’t mind – as a matter of fact, they’ll dig in and ask for a second one to take home.
If you are having a Halloween party you want to be sure to have enough Halloween cupcakes. Halloween is often the perfect time to have a party – whether for children or adults. And for both it is known as a day of indulgence in sweet treats. So it is a great day to have some yummy cupcakes. Try making a combination of regular and mini sized cupcakes to please everyone. Especially if some guests are in fancy costumes, they’ll want a petite sized cupcake they can take tiny bites from. But that adorable dinosaur in the corner is going to want to take b-i-g bites from their cupcake! So be prepared.
Hello Cupcake! has pumpkin themed cupcakes that are perfect to make. I can also tell you if you are new to making fancy cupcakes this is a great one to start with. Try getting the orange frosting and green licorice ahead of time, as you probably wont be the only one with cupcakes on your mind for Halloween. These pumpkins come out cuter than you can imagine – and as a mini cupcake they are really cute too.
A variety of cupcakes is often a good option for Halloween. Children today seem to hold more Halloween parties and no longer go trick or treating. If your children are going to a Halloween party, you can offer to bring cupcakes and the host will be pleased at your kind offer. Try a variety of cupcakes from flowers to wild colors and fun shapes. Just as every child has a different idea of the “best” Halloween costume, they also have a different idea of what makes a great cupcake. They will appreciate having lots of cupcakes to choose from.

Today I felt like getting a good dose of minty goodness. These cupcakes are so much better than brushing your teeth! Though I am certainly not advocating that you eat cupcakes over brushing your pearly whites! But, well you can swallow this minty mouthful!
Anyway I am side tracking, lets move on and see what Minty recipes I can find! Remember if you have an idea for one of our ‘five lists’, let us know!
1. Chocolate Mint Chip Cupcakes with Mint Swiss Meringue Buttercream
Mmmm, these cupcakes from Taste and Tell Blog look sooo good. They have the recipes which are from How to Eat a Cupcake and Crazy about Cupcakes, but both are here for you to whip yourself up a batch. Go on! You deserve it.
2. Rich Chocolate Cupcakes filled with Chocolate Mint Gananche topped with Mint Buttercream
More yummy sounding cupcakes. These cupcakes are from Cupcake by Chocylit and use fresh mint for that authentic mint flavor.
3. Mint Creme De Menthe Mini Cupcakes
These cupcakes are a creation of Cupcake Rehab and were made in celebration of St Patrick’s Day earlier this year. The cute little trick with these is to dribble a bit of the Creme de Menthe on the cupcake before frosting it. According to the website the cupcake will soak up the green goodness which will make the centre of the cupcake green! Oh and those really cute clovers are cocktail sticks with their bottoms broken off! Cool idea!
4. Coconut & Herbal Mint Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting
These are coconut milk cupcakes which Garret has created and then frosted with coconut cream cheese frosting. So where is the mint? Well apart from sitting pretty on top of the cupcake they are also inside the cupcake! The full recipe is on the Vanilla Garlic website for you to try!
5. Chocolate Souffle Cupcakes with Mint Cream
I love how Smitten Kitchen showcases her recipes, full of beautiful photos, but best of all is this white chocolate mint whipped cream that she uses to pump into the centre of these little cuppies. It is so white! Well that is until it is sprinkled with chocolate.
